Optimizing building surface retro-reflectivity to reduce energy load and CO2 emissions of an enclosed teaching building

چکیده
Abstract Building surface reflectivity determines the amount of reflected solar radiation, which indirectly affects cooling and heating load a building. Therefore, optimizing building retro-reflectivity is an effective method to reduce energy CO2 emissions buildings. To analyse optimization potential retro-reflectivity, effect on daily, monthly yearly load, as well educational were simulated based Energyplus software. The numerical results showed that for daily in four typical seasons, there was positive correlation between reflectivities January, April October negative July. For loads highest January August, respectively. annual higher reflectivity, lower load. When 0.7, least, with value 148.23 kWh/m2. In addition, emission also lowest, 24.79 kg/m2. According relation retro-reflectivities, optimal 0.47.

Climate and Energy in Urban Areas to Reduce Energy Consumption, Case Study of Saadat Abad Building
Before the modern era, cities were built on a scale that did not change the environmental balance significantly. With the expansion of population and the expansion of cities and the conversion of settlements into big cities and metropolises, new conditions have emerged which show that cities today make their own climates. The new climates created in these areas are completely different from the...
متن کاملShade trees reduce building energy use and CO2 emissions from power plants.
Urban shade trees offer significant benefits in reducing building air-conditioning demand and improving urban air quality by reducing smog. The savings associated with these benefits vary by climate region and can be up to $200 per tree. The cost of planting trees and maintaining them can vary from $10 to $500 per tree. Tree-planting programs can be designed to have lower costs so that they off...
متن کاملOptimum Insulation Thickness for Building Exterior Walls in 32 Regions of China to Save Energy and Reduce CO2 Emissions
China accounts for approximately 30% of the CO2 emissions—one of the largest proportions from a single nation. Therefore, reducing the CO2 emissions in China will play a decisive role in global CO2 emissions reduction. This paper is a proposal of optimum insulation thickness (OIT) for the exterior walls of buildings in 32 regions of China to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. The determinati...
